Varying the marks you make with your brush or palette knife is key to creating an interesting painting. It can become a habit to render strokes and details in a similar fashion throughout the process. This can affect how the final product looks. We’ll focus on how to vary your grip, stroke style, brush size and amount of paint, so that you can make your painting far more engaging.

Blending and Layering are both important skills in the painting process. We’ll look at different techniques that lend themselves to painting with acrylics and use them to complete an exciting new piece.
