Good landscape paintings are always popular, an image visually transporting the viewer to another world – it’s timeless. The feeling of being invited into a painting, to enjoy a view, real or imaginary, to escape for a moment, from the comfort of home – this is what landscapes are about. 

With landscapes, I tend to be drawn to wild coastlines and wooded areas. I like to evoke the sound and smell of the subject, not just focus on how it looks. I paint a recognisable likeness, with detail and texture, while integrating abstract colours.
