PAINTING WORKSHOP in Thorverton, Devon: for Beginners & Improvers

This painting workshop is designed for both beginners and those who want to extend / develop / re-ignite their skills. We will be using acrylic paints on paper and canvas.

I will explain through demonstrations and show you methods with step-by-step guidance.

The course will touch on the following:

• mixing paint / using complementary colours.
• paint application: how to layer the paint, mark-making techniques, blending.

You should be able to finish 1 x canvas painting on the day. However, if you work quickly, another canvas will be available.

You’ll be offered a choice of reference images to work from (for example; animals, landscapes, portraits, seascapes) or you can choose to bring your own.

Tea, coffee, biscuits and parking are all free but you’ll need to bring yourself some lunch.
