Painting Classes - 3-week Course - Sandford, Devon

This 3-week painting course is suitable for both beginners and those who want to extend and develop their skills. It’s designed to help you learn how to use paint or build on your existing skills. We will be using acrylic paints on paper and canvas, all materials are included.

A fun, creative class where I will explain through demonstrations and show you techniques with step-by-step guidance. We will touch on the following:

– mixing colour.
– paint application: how to layer the paint, mark-making techniques, using a brush, palette knife, etc.
– using contrast to give your paintings depth.

The aim of the 3 weeks is to finish one painting on canvas but the main focus is on learning about the painting process.
A choice of reference images will be available to work from (for example; animals, landscapes, portraits, seascapes) or you can choose to bring your own.
It’ll be friendly and inspiring, with free tea, coffee and biscuits!
