Painting is my passion and I work from my home studio in the Cotswolds, England.

Using acrylic paint, I create playful, distinctive colour palettes to make my paintings vibrate with energy. My brush technique creates the illusion of movement, both real and mystical. I like to weave a story on the surface of the canvas, often embedding elements of abstract shape in the artwork.

The paintings capture the essence of a subject; a glint in an eye, a moment of respite in a landscape, an expression, a split second. These moments are bought to life using layers of paint on canvas or paper, using immediate, confident brush marks.

Inspired by travel and nature, light and movement, I love to create paintings that make the viewer look twice, feel transported. Having lived abroad for the best part of 20 years, the colours and cultures of the world are my greatest inspiration. This can be seen in these vibrant paintings, where attention to detail is now being challenged by a new, looser way of working.
