Every face tells a story, both the good and the bad, and it’s incredible how each and every one is different!
I’m particularly interested in capturing the essence of a person, their spirit, an emotion, a moment uniquely theirs. The aim of the each painting is to encapsulate the subject’s life at a specific moment.
The style of painting is not about re-creating a photographic image but bringing the canvas alive with an original, vibrant depiction of each individual. The technique involves using layers of bold, abstract colour; based on colour values rather than realism.
