The wolf is a found in the mythologies of many people, throughout the world. They have had many a yarn spun about them. They are usually seen as villians or, at least, dangerous. However, humans are not their natural prey and they tend to live in remote, unpopulated areas, avoiding people. They do howl, but contrary to popular belief, not at the full moon! They howl to assemble their pack, to pass on an alarm, to locate each other – basically, to communicate.
